Leon Ayers Jr. Keyboardist, Producer and Composer, was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, also known as Motown.  Leon was inspired by musical greats George Duke, Stevie Wonder, Oscar Patterson, Jeff Lorber and Alex Bugnon.  As a child, Leon recalls, " I would listen to the radio and when a popular hit song was being played, I would attempt to pluck out the various instruments that made up the song.  The ability to distinguish the various instruments, hooks and beats gave me a great sense of pride and accomplishment that would inspire a deep desire to create music".

Leon honed his musical talent by attending Detroit's Center for Creative Studies, Grosse Point Conservatory and Wayne State University.  By performing at several local clubs, Leon quickly became a well-known and respected keyboardist throughout the Detroit metropolitan area. Soon, artists such as the Floaters, Jones &Matthews of the Platters, Mark Channing, and Alicia Meyers recognized Leon's "Smooth Urban Jazz "style and began to request that he accompany them on tour.

After touring for several years, Leon sought to heighten his career by channeling his creative energy into producing and composing music.  While maintaining his jazz roots, Leon began composing music for various R&B artists.  Leon worked closely with Dream Boy, an artist who was signed to Quincy Jones label, Quest.  Leon also wrote music accompanying the vocals of Detroit R&B/Jazz singer, Veronica Crockette.  Soon after, Leon began to focus on his own jazz masterpiece entitled "Compilations", which was released in 1999 to rave reviews.

Currently, Leon is the owner of Air-Tyte Productions and is busy creating Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, Electronica, Ambient, and New Age music in a variety of entertainment venues.  Leon's music can be heard on reality shows such as "Dateline NBC", "America's Next Top Model", "Love & Hip Hop", "Real Housewives", "Keeping Up With The Kardashians"  as well as ABC's hit soap opera "All My Children".  Leon's music was aired on the popular FOX television show "America's Most Wanted”. His creative musical achievements are also displayed on The Weather Channel.  In addition, Leon has released another jazz CD entitled "It Takes More" and continues to work on a variety of TV projects.
